The 2011 Tow Show - The Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR) – Stand AS03

It has been a busy year for the Tow Show and the same can be said for the Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR)!

In the past twelve months the IVR Council has made a number of major decisions which will shape the future of the IVR and continue to assure the safety of recovery technicians within the industry.

A priority was to clarify and improve membership benefits and show the advantages of being a member of the Institute. It saw the introduction of a new website www.theivrgroup.org which includes masses of information including safety bulletins, Near Miss reports and a full breakdown and explanation of VR training.

There has also been the launch of a new eight page full colour membership Newsletter, which will be sent to members three times a year, plus the IVR has negotiated with Professional Recovery magazine a special rate for IVR members of £29 per year, instead of £49. The eighteen issues a year can be delivered to your home address direct from the printers. Come and talk to us about registering for this offer.

Earlier this month the first IVR sponsored family weekend event took place at Wild Tracks in Suffolk with guests taking part in a challenge which included karting, quad, a 4 x 4 course followed by laser clays and archery. The marquee based evening entertainment include a live band, disco and Hog Roast followed by a Sunday Brunch BBQ.
